  จากตอนที่แล้ว เราได้ทำความรู้จักกับเส้นทางเศรษฐกิจสายอาเซียนหรือ GMS Economic Corridors ซึ่งเป็นเส้นทางคมนาคมสายสำคัญที่ช่วยสร้างความเชื่อมโยงกับประเทศทั้งในและนอกภูมิภาคอาเซียน GMS Economic Corridors ใช้เป็นเส้นทางสำหรับขนส่ง กระจายสินค้า ลำเลียงวัตถุดิบ อีกทั้งรองรับนักท่องเที่ยวที่มีจำนวนเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง อย่างไรก็ตามความพร้อมของโครงสร้างพื้นฐานและระบบสาธารณูปโภคเพียงอย่างเดียวอาจไม่เพียงพอต่อการเชื่อมโยงอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ แต่ยังต้องอาศัยความเชื่อมโยงด้านกฎระเบียบ (Software Connectivity) เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกและลดขั้นตอนการขนส่งที่ซับซ้อนลงจากที่เป็นอยู่
