    วันที่ 18 ก.พ. 2557 EU ได้ยกเลิกมาตรการคว่ำบาตรในส่วนของการตรวจลงตราและการอายัดทรัพย์สินที่อยู่ใน EU ต่อเจ้าหน้าที่ระดับสูงของซิมบับเว ยกเว้น ปธน. Mugabe และภรรยา ซึ่งรายชื่อยังถูกบันทึกไว้ในบัญชีดำ ที่ผ่านมา EU ได้มีมาตรการค่ำบาตรต่อซิมบับเวเนื่องจากการละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนและการไม่เคารพในระบบประชาธิปไตย ทาง EU ก็ได้ให้ความช่วยเหลือต่างๆแก้ซิมบับเวมาโดยตลอดตั้งแต่ปี 2545 ผ่านทาง กลุ่ม NGO และ UNICEF
