• เขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษไซเสดถานครหลวงเวียงจันทน์และบริษัท China Mobile International (สิงคโปร์) ร่วมก่อตั้งเมืองอัจฉริยะ

  เมื่อวันที่ 10 พ.ค. 2564 บริษัท ร่วมทุนลาว - จีน จำกัด และบริษัท China Mobile International (สิงคโปร์) ร่วมลงนามความตกลงว่าด้วยกรอบความร่วมมือยุทธศาสตร์ผ่านระบบ cloud เพื่อก่อตั้งเมืองอัจฉริยะ ในเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษไซเสดถานครหลวงเวียงจันทน์และเชื่อมโยงเครือข่ายข้อมูลพื้นฐาน ความร่วมมือดังกล่าวจะช่วยส่งเสริมการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านดิจิทัลและเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษ ให้กลายเป็นเมืองอัจฉริยะ อีกทั้งลดต้นทุนในการบริหารและดำเนินงาน ยกระดับขีดความสามารถในการบริการ และส่งเสริมการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนในอนาคต ทั้งสองฝ่ายจะใช้ความได้เปรียบด้านทรัพยากรทุกประเภทเพื่อเปลี่ยนเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษให้เป็นศูนย์รวมของทรัพยากรและการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมดิจิทัล เพื่อก้าวไปสู่การพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล บริษัท ร่วมทุนลาว - จีน จำกัด ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 2553 เป็นการร่วมทุนระหว่างกลุ่มบริษัท ลงทุนและก่อสร้างมณฑลยูนนานหุ้นส่วน จำกัด กับองค์การปกครองนครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ ในการลงทุนก่อสร้างและบริหารเขตเศรษฐกิจพิเศษไซเสดถา ซึ่งเป็นความร่วมมือระหว่างรัฐบาล สปป. ลาวกับรัฐบาลจีน โครงการดังกล่าวได้รับ การบรรจุในแผนปฏิบัติงานคู่ร่วมชะตากรรมลาว - จีน บริษัท China Mobile International เป็นบริษัทลูกของ China Mobile ซึ่งมีสาขาที่สนับสนุนการพัฒนาธุรกิจ 37 สาขา ทั่วโลก มีสายเคเบิ้ลใต้ทะเลและบนบกกว่า 70 เส้น ที่ผ่านมาได้ขยายธุรกิจในเอเชียตะวันออก เฉียงใต้เพื่อให้บริการด้านระบบข้อมูลข่าวสารให้วิสาหกิจในประเทศที่มีความร่วมมือภายใต้ Belt and Road Initiative รวมทั้งอำนวยความสะดวกในการดำเนินโครงการขนาดใหญ่ภายใต้ข้อริเริ่มดังกล่าว ที่มา: เว็บไซต์ นสพ. เศรษฐกิจ การค้า วันที่ 13 พ.ค. 2564 https://laoedaily.com.la/2021/05/13/94528/

• งานแสดงสินค้าในอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์และชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์ “China-ASEAN Automobiles, Constructions, Equipment, Components and Parts Expo” ครั้งที่ 4 19-23 ก.ย.ศกนี้ ที่เมืองหลิ่วโจว สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน

              ระหว่างวันที่ 19-23 กันยายน นี้ จะมีการจัดงานแสดงสินค้าที่เกี่ยวข้องกับอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์และชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์ “China-ASEAN Automobiles, Constructions, Equipment, Components and Parts Expo” ครั้งที่ 4 ณ Liuzhou International Exhibition Center เมืองหลิ่วโจว สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน โดยผู้จัดงานขอเชิญชวนผู้ประกอบการไทยในสาขาอุตสาหกรรมดังกล่าว เข้าร่วมงานแสดงสินค้าในครั้งนี้ 

              งานแสดงสินค้าในอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์และชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์ “China-ASEAN Automobiles, Constructions, Equipment, Components and Parts Expo” จัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกเมื่อปี 2554 โดยจัดต่อเนื่องเป็นประจำทุกปี มีกลุ่มเป้าหมายผู้เข้าร่วมงานหลักๆ คือ ผู้ประกอบการจีนแผ่นดินใหญ่และประเทศต่างๆ ในภูมิภาคอาเซียน รวมถึง ไต้หวัน ฮ่องกง ญี่ปุ่น เกาหลีใต้ อินเดีย อิหร่าน ตะวันออกกลาง อเมริกาใต้ และยุโรป 

              ผู้จัดงานนิทรรศการฯ ให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับการจัดงานว่า ตั้งเป้าให้งานดังกล่าวเป็นเวทีการค้าการลงทุนเฉพาะสาขาที่มีชื่อเสียงด้านยานยนต์ เครื่องจักรก่อสร้าง และชิ้นส่วนอะไหล่ ซึ่งเป็นอุตสาหกรรมที่สำคัญของเมืองหลิ่วโจว นอกจากนี้ การจัดงานยังมีเป้าหมาย เพื่อเผยแพร่นโยบายและศักยภาพด้านอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ของจีนและอาเซียน และเป็นการสร้างโอกาสในการขยายธุรกิจสำหรับนักธุรกิจและนักลงทุนที่ต้องการหาคู่ค้า/ตลาดใหม่อีกด้วย 

              กิจกรรมภายในงานนิทรรศการ จะประกอบด้วย โซนรถยนต์สำเร็จรูป โซนอะไหล่ชิ้นส่วน โซนงานบริการที่เกี่ยวข้อง (รถยนต์มือสอง ลีสซิ่งรถยนต์ ประกันภัยรถยนต์และสินเชื่อยานยนต์) โซนนิทรรศการเชิงวัฒนธรรม และโซนเครื่องจักรก่อสร้าง (กลางแจ้ง) 

              เกี่ยวกับการจัดงานในครั้งนี้ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครหนานหนิง มีความเห็นว่า หากผู้ประกอบการจากไทยตัดสินใจเข้าร่วมงาน จะเป็นประโยชน์อย่างมากในการเพิ่มโอกาสขยายช่องทางทางธุรกิจ การแสวงหาความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจกับผู้ประกอบการจีน 

              ทั้งนี้ สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ให้ข้อมูลว่า จีนเป็นตลาดยานยนต์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก ช่วง 10 ปีที่ผ่านมามีอัตราขยายตัวเฉลี่ยร้อยละ 20 จากข้อมูลปี 2555 มียอดจำหน่าย 19.5 ล้านคัน และในช่วง 6 เดือนแรกของปี 2556 มียอดจำหน่ายทะลุ 10.75 ล้านคัน ส่วนเมืองหลิ่วโจว เป็นฐานการผลิตยานยนต์ที่สำคัญของพื้นที่จีนตอนใต้ และเป็นฐานการส่งออกยานยนต์และชิ้นส่วนอะไหล่ที่สำคัญของประเทศจีน มีโรงงานผลิตรถยนต์และเครื่องจักรที่สำคัญ ได้แก่ SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile/ Liuzhou Yanlong Motor/ Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor/ Sinotruck Liuzhou Yunli Special Vehicle/ Liuzhou Wuling Motors และ FAW Jiefeng Liuzhou Special Vehicle ซึ่งบางแห่งได้ส่งออกมายังประเทศไทยด้วย โดยจากสถิติ รถยนต์ที่ผลิตในจีน 1 ใน 8 คัน ผลิตที่เมืองหลิ่วโจว

• การพัฒนาด้านโทรคมนาคมใน สปป. ลาว

  ดร. ปะดับไซ ไซยะโคด รองหัวหน้าสถาบันเทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารข้อมูลข่าวสาร กระทรวงเทคโนโลยี และการสื่อสาร สปป. ลาว รายงานการพัฒนาด้านโทรคมนาคมใน สปป. ลาว ดังนี้ 1. การพัฒนาโทรคมนาคม 2G 3G 4G- ในช่วง 20 ปีที่ผ่านมา สปป. ลาวมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้าง ด้านโทรคมนาคมหลายครั้ง และได้ดึงดูดการลงทุนจากภาคเอกชนผ่านการร่วมทุน ซึ่งมีส่วนทำให้โครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านโทรคมนาคมมีความทันสมัยและมีการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีระดับสูง ส่งผลให้มีผู้จำหน่ายและสนับสนุนอุปกรณ์ แก่ผู้ประกอบการใน สปป. ลาวมากขึ้น รวมทั้งมีผู้ให้บริการด้าน Solution โดยเฉพาะ Huawei ซึ่งสนับสนุนเครือข่ายโทรคมนาคมของผู้ให้บริการโทรคมนาคม เช่น 3G เปิดตัวในปี 2551 และ 4G เปิดตัวในปี 2555 ในช่วงปี 2533 มีเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์พื้นฐาน ระบบเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์มือถือแบบอนาล็อกขั้นสูง (AMPS) ซึ่งให้บริการใน นครหลวงเวียงจันทน์ในปี 2536 และระบบเครือข่ายการสื่อสารมือถือทั่วโลก GMS 900 และมาตรฐานไร้สายรุ่นต่อมาในปี 2537 และมีการพัฒนามาตรฐานไร้สายอย่างไม่หยุดยั้งตั้งแต่ 1G จนถึง 5G ในปัจจุบัน

• ธนาคารของไทยและลาวเปิดตัวบริการโอนเงินระหว่างประเทศ

• คลังเงินแห่งชาติลาวทดลองใช้ระบบ U-Money ในการเบิกจ่ายเงินให้เจ้าหน้าที่ในแขวงเวียงจันทน์

  เมื่อวันที่ 28 ส.ค. 2563 คลังเงินแห่งชาติ (กรมธนารักษ์) กระทรวงการเงิน สปป. ลาว ได้จัดพิธีเปิด การทดลองเบิกจ่ายเงินเดือน เงินอุดหนุน และเงินนโยบาย ผ่านระบบบัญชีกระเป๋าเงินอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (U-Money) ให้แก่ข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่เมืองแมด แขวงเวียงจันทน์ จำนวน 663 คน โดยระบบดังกล่าวเริ่มใช้เมื่อเดือน ส.ค. 2563

• ธนาคารใน สปป. ลาวพร้อมใช้ระบบเชื่อมโยงการโอนเงิน

  เมื่อวันที่ 13 พ.ค. 2563 บริษัท Lao National Payment Network จำกัด (LAPNet) ประกาศว่าลูกค้าของธนาคารพาณิชย์ใน สปป. ลาว 14 แห่ง สามารถถอนเงินสดและโอนเงินข้ามธนาคารผ่านตู้ ATM ของธนาคารพาณิชย์ ที่เป็นสมาชิก LAPNet ทั่วประเทศตลอด 24 ชั่วโมงตั้งแต่บัดนี้เป็นต้นไป LAPNet อยู่ภายใต้การกำกับดูแลของธนาคารแห่ง สปป. ลาว ซึ่งเปิดตัวอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อวันที่ 25 พ.ย. 2562 เพื่อสร้างระบบการชำระเงินอิเล็กทรอนิกส์แบบบูรณาการ มีประสิทธิภาพ และอำนวยความสะดวกสบายให้แก่ผู้ใช้งาน ในอนาคต LAPNet มีเป้าหมายที่จะพัฒนาการทำธุรกรรมระหว่างธนาคารพาณิชย์ผ่านช่องทางต่าง ๆ เช่น QR Code และ Internet Mobile Banking

By virtue of agreements it has entered into with the International Engineers’ Alliance (IEA) for mutual recognition of competencies, members assessed to have such competencies by IESL are eligible to practice engineering in the member countries including Japan, Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore, Pakistan, India, USA, Canada and South Korea.<br />

  The flagship event of IESL, Techno Sri Lanka, since its inception in 1985 has grown to be the largest and the only engineering and technology exhibition held annually in Colombo. Techno, living up to its standards, has provided the means for uplifting peoples’ living conditions and has become an ideal venue for industry professionals, business heads, technologists and keen public to come together on a single global platform.<br />

  The world is changing; engineers are in the forefront of this change. Expectations are very high in today’s society. However, the Planet’s resources are fast depleting and engineers have to be smart and innovative to achieve high goals with very low resource consumption. Technology should reach the masses and make them do things differently, as doing ‘business as usual’ will not leave a healthy planet for our children and grandchildren. We need ‘sustainable technologies’ that will revolutionize the day-to-day activities, such as mobile technology, nanotechnology, household solar PV technology and perhaps other inventions and breakthroughs to satisfy the society’s expectations and still not be blamed by our future generations for not leaving them a livable Planet Earth.<br />

  Considering these facts, Techno Sri Lanka has redefined its Theme for the year 2018, aiming to fulfill the expectations of all stakeholders.

  The Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka is the successor to the ‘Engineering Association of Ceylon’, which was founded in 1906. In 1968, the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka was made an incorporated body of the government, by an Act of Parliament. The IESL being the Apex body for engineering professionals in Sri Lanka, having a membership of more than 20,000, is called upon to represent the profession at many national forums and contribute to national development.
