สองฝ่ายแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเรื่องการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านความเชื่อมโยงทางบก ทางราง
และโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน ระหว่างไทยและ สปป. ลาว ตลอดจนความเชื่อมโยงในภูมิภาค โดยเฉพาะ
เรื่องการเตรียมการพิธีเปิดสะพานมิตรภาพไทย-ลาว แห่งที่ 5 (บึงกาฬ-บอลิคำไซ) และการติดตามพัฒนาการของโครงการความร่วมมือระหว่างสองประเทศที่อยู่ระหว่างการดำเนินการ อาทิ โครงการปรับปรุงเส้น
ทางถนนหมายเลข 12 (ท่าแขก-นาเพ้า) โครงการก่อสร้างสะพานข้ามแม่น้ำโขงบ้านเชียงแมน-หลวงพระบาง และโครงการก่อสร้างสะพานรถไฟแห่งใหม่ (หนองคาย-เวียงจันทน์) เป็นต้น

นอกจากนี้ สองฝ่ายยังเน้นย้ำถึงความร่วมมือที่ใกล้ชิดระหว่างหน่วยงานของสองประเทศ ที่มีส่วนสำคัญ
ในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือ เพื่อส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยง การขนส่ง โครงสร้างพื้นฐานและช่วยอำนวย
ความสะดวกการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจของสองประเทศ

Thai Ambassador to Lao PDR Paid a Farewell Call on Lao Minister of Public Works
and Transport

On 19 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a courtesy and farewell call on H.E. Mr. Leklai Sivilai, Minister of Public Works and Transport, on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of office and the former’s completion of tenure at the end of September 2025.

Both sides exchanged views on promoting cooperation on connectivity including land and rail, and infrastructure between Thailand and the Lao PDR, as well as in the region. Discussions included preparations for the opening ceremony of the Fifth Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge (Bueng Kan–Bolikhamxay), and updates on ongoing joint cooperation projects such as the improvement of Road No. 12 (Thakhek–Nape), the construction of the Chiangman–Luang Prabang Mekong Bridge, and the new railway bridge (Nong Khai–Vientiane).

Both sides also highlighted the importance of close cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries in advancing connectivity, transport, and infrastructure, which play a vital role in facilitating economic development for both nations.
