เมื่อวันที่ 8 ส.ค. 2568 นางสาวมรกต ศรีสวัสดิ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ เวียงจันทน์ เยี่ยมคารวะนางบุนคำ วอละจิด ผู้ว่าการธนาคารแห่ง สปป. ลาว เพื่อแสดงความยินดีในโอกาสที่นางบุนคำฯ ได้รับแต่งตั้งเป็นผู้ว่าการธนาคารแห่ง สปป. ลาว ท่านใหม่
สองฝ่ายได้หารือแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับแนวทางส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างสองประเทศในด้านการเงินการธนาคาร อาทิ สถานการณ์เศรษฐกิจและการเงินของ สปป. ลาว ความร่วมมือด้านวิชาการเกี่ยวกับการต่อต้านการฟอกเงินและการสนับสนุนเงินทุนแก่การก่อการร้าย (AML/CFT) ตลอดจนเองเกี่ยวกับกฎระเบียบและความร่วมมือด้านการคุ้มครองและอำนวยความสะดวกด้านการเงินและการลงทุนให้กับนักธุรกิจและภาคเอกชนไทยที่เข้ามาลงทุนใน สปป. ลาว ทั้งนี้ ในโอกาสเฉลิมฉลองความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-ลาว ครบรอบ 75 ปี ประเทศไทยได้สนับสนุนทุนการศึกษาให้กับบุคลากรของธนาคาร แห่ง สปป. ลาว เพิ่มเติมด้วย
นางบุนคำฯ ขอบคุณสำหรับการสนับสนุนของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ในด้านต่าง ๆ และพร้อมจะสานต่อความร่วมมือกันอย่างใกล้ชิดต่อไป

Thai Ambassador Paid a Courtesy Call on Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR
On 8 August 2025, H.E. Ms. Morakot Sriswasdi, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ms. Bounkham Vorachit, Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR, to extend her congratulations on Ms. Bounkham’s appointment as the new Governor.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on ways and means to enhance cooperation and collaboration in financial and banking sectors. Discussions also covered a wide range of cooperation such as the Lao PDR’s current economic and financial situation, cooperation in Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), as well as measures to protect the Thai investment in the Lao PDR and facilitate financial transactions and investments. On the special occasion to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Lao PDR, provision of scholarships for the Bank’s personnel was also granted.
Mrs. Bounkham expressed her appreciation for the Embassy’s support in various areas and expressed her readiness to continue working closely to strengthen bilateral
cooperation
